Tyler's First Haircut
Took Tyler for his first real haircut today at Snip-Its. What a cute place! It was a challenge getting him into the chair, but once in the chair, he did great. He now looks like a little man, instead of a baby.

Crazy Dancer
Tyler has discovered a new dance. He is too funny. He did this for about an hour. Don't worry the video is only 1 minute.

Vegas Weekend
Rodney and I had a nice weekend in Las Vegas. We originally planned this trip for our friend, Chisa's, 30th birthday. However, plans changed and we went without our friends. We ended up having some nice alone time. We stayed at the Monte Carlo, which had an awesome pool, lazy river, and wave pool. We also had a great dinner at the steak house in the Aladdin hotel and saw a traditional Las Vegas topless show. We didn't really gamble much, which was surprising. We really spent most our time at the pool enjoying MANY cocktails.

Developmental Specialist
Today a developmental specialist came to evaluate Tyler. As most of you know, Tyler has had chronic ear infections, which he has now had tubes placed to hopefully fix. His doctors have said that his speech is delayed due to the possibility of hearing issues related to his infections. He has had a recent hearing test showing that his hearing is now normal after his surgery, however was not normal prior to surgery. Tyler is now starting to vocalize, however doesn't have any real words yet. This is why it was recommended for Tyler to be evaluated by a developmental specialist and a speech therapist. The developmental specialist came to our home today and played with Tyler for about an hour. He doesn't show any other delays except speech. We will be meeting with the speech therapist next week for her evaluation. Hopefully, they can give me some good tools to help Tyler catch up with his speech. It is becoming a little frustrating for him not to be able to vocalize his needs and wants. I will keep everyone posted as he begins to improve, as I am sure it will just take a little extra time.

Uncle Jason Visiting from Oregon
Rodney's brother, Jason, came to stay with us for a few days. Tyler was very excited to have his uncle visit. He is such a fun playmate. Jason even took Tyler to his weekly gym class. What a nice guy. Do you think it had anything to do with the teacher being hot? :)

Rolly Pollies Gym Class
Tyler had his first day at Rolly Pollies (toddler gym class). He loved it. He spent a lot of time running around and exploring all the new colors and textures. He met lots of new friends and we look forward to next weeks class.

Splash Park
Tyler and I joined our friends Tracy and Jace for fun at the Chandler Splash Park. Now that Tyler is a sturdy walking, he really enjoyed running around through the different water features. Unfortuantly, there were a few big kids that ran into him, so then he stayed pretty close to mom.

Laundry Helper
I was in the kitchen while Tyler was emptying my laundry basket. He loves the laundry. He also has figured out where socks and shoes go. If I say lets put your shoes on, he will sit down and help me put them on. Click on link below to view video!

Surgery for Tyler
Well it is official. Tyler has been scheduled for surgery to place ear tubes and take out his adenoids on July 8th. They say it is a very easy surgery and recovery is quick. Hopefully this will resolve his 3 month ear infection and make him feel better. I know Rodney and I are ready to have our happy Tyler back.

Father's Day at lake Apache
Happy Father's Day!! We spent the day at the Lake with some friends. This was Tyler's first time on a boat. He wasn't a big fan of the life vest. He enjoyed playing in the sand and had to keep a pacifer in his mouth to prevent him from eating the sand. The water temperature was great. We had an amazing, sunny day. And no one got sunburned.
